Product Description

Stunning Gold Medal Eagle grate  with brass mouldings and panels in the doors instead of the usual tiles . The two top doors are kept closed to form a canopy whereas the other four doors can be closed to increase the draw for fire lighting or as a safety precaution when retiring from the room , when these doors are open they are neatly tucked away behind the brass panelled doors . This grate has been seamlessly extended , so it will fit most openings within a chimneypiece . Originally supplied from the Eagle Range and Foundry Company , 176 Regent Street London. Circa 1890
